About Simone Distler's theme:
Tracking the way - Landscapes of dissatisfaction
Simone Distler studies painting at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in the city of Halle-Saale (Saxony-Anhalt, former East-Germany).
On the first floor in the former building of the Old Stock Exchange of Leipzig Simone Distler showcases three large acrylic paintings next to a series of ten smaller silkscreens on paper.
Tracking the way... It's about landscapes of dissatisfaction.
Like areas of coldness and ice. It's about the alteration, shifting and the general deformation of our personal standing ground. About crossing difficult terrain.
Simone Distler tries to depict something of the momentary process of how it feels tracking her way.
