Bridal Bouquet
About
In a dark, all-embracing firmament something like a firy whirl shines. It is a far away vantage point on the outmost fore-court of the Creator's being.
The circular whirl speaks about the work of creation of the world by the personal God when He made the heaven and the earth as the Biblebook of Genesis tells us. The color of blue stands for the Father while the color of red stands for Jesus, the only begotten Son of God.
From the centre of the whirl an room af space unfolds. This narrow gives way to a bridal bouquet.
Mainly the bridalbouquet is a symbol for creation; in addition this bouquet symbolizes the waiting 'Bride of Jesus Christ'.
Out of the adjacent "light-lens" a weed shoots up. It refers to the perversion of creation by the Fall.
The backgroundcolor of red on the leftpanel refers to His cleansing blood (in connection with that, the bridalbouquet alludes too on the believing persons that have been washed of their sins by the blood of the Lamb (cf. the Ghenter altarpiece 'The Lamb of God' of the brethren Van Eyck) and are awaiting Paradise... in contradiction with those christians that didn't.
A close look on the bridalbouquet shows that some parts of the bouquet are withering to death (cf. Jesus's parable of the five foolish maiden), while other parts of the bouquet are vigorous and budding (cf. the five wise maiden).
