About Simone Distler's theme:
Tracking the way - Landscapes of Challenge
Simone Distler studies painting at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in the city of Halle-Saale (Saxony-Anhalt, former East-Germany).
She showcases large acrylic paintings next to a series of smaller silkscreens on paper.
Tracking the way... It's about landscapes of challenge.
It's about the alteration, shifting and the general deformation of our personal standing ground. About crossing difficult terrain.
Simone Distler tries to depict something of the momentary process of how it feels tracking her way.
